Robert James is the founder and CEO of Ever After Weddings, Australia's free wedding venue and vendor directory.
Robert built his career in online marketing in Sydney — spending his days thinking about how people search for things and how businesses get found. The idea for Ever After Weddings came from the other side of that world: over a couple of years of going to friends' weddings, he kept hearing the same story — how hard it had been to find the right venue, and then to line up the right vendors around it. People loved the day itself, but getting there was stressful for almost everyone.
Combining his marketing background with that recurring problem, he launched Ever After Weddings in 2025 to bring every part of wedding planning into one simpler, more trustworthy place. Today he leads the business across product, partnerships and growth from Sydney.

Ever After Weddings is a free directory that helps couples across Australia — with a focus on New South Wales and Victoria — discover, compare and enquire with wedding venues and the vendors who bring the day together. Instead of juggling dozens of tabs and repetitive emails, couples shortlist venues by region, style, guest capacity and price, then send a single enquiry to their whole shortlist. A free budget calculator helps them plan their spend with confidence.
